When a Panda Chats Up the Moon

You’re quiet up there,

says the panda

to the moon—

like me, you live

off the beaten path,

you have sway

on the world

as you come out to play—

some might sleep

for a little while

when you arrive,

others just keep

climbing trees

rolling down hills,

yet there you hang

spying on my snacks.
